Mazon River Description

The Mazon River, or "Mazon Creek", is a tributary of the Illinois River, which it joins near Morris, Illinois. The Mazon River is about 30 miles in length, counting the West Fork as the main branch. Although the Mazon River offers whitewater, access is difficult. Prairie State Canoeists seem to offer frequent tours.
